Batley, has been named “Lawyer of the Year” for family law in Albuquerque by BestLawyers.com. To be ranked at the top in a region with so many experienced and talented family law attorneys is an honor.

The Peer Review Process for Best Lawyers®

Best Lawyers has been surveying attorneys to find the most respected practitioners in each market for over four decades. Unlike other publications, peer review is based on peer review. Leading attorneys are surveyed confidentially to gain opinions on issues related to their peers. Those who earn high recognition are named to the Best Lawyers list. Bobbie has made the list every year since 2006.

In addition, the attorney who receives the highest overall rating from peers in their practice area and geographic region earned the designation “Lawyer of the Year.” For 2023, that lawyer is our own Bobbie Batley.

Endorsement of Respect in Family Law

Bobbie hopes the award will bring greater attention to the benefits of a collaborative and cooperative approach to divorce and other family law challenges. “Even the parties I’ve opposed in cases have seen the effect that results when we practice dedicated advocacy with respect and kindness,” she observes. “I get many referrals from my ‘opponents.’ Receiving this award shows how many attorneys recognize that we can accomplish much more for our clients when we stop acting like a bull in a china shop. Instead, we focus on helping clients make informed decisions that lead them to the right solutions. The award is an endorsement of the importance of respect in family law.”
