Jonathan S. Brown practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, child support, kinship-guardianship, adoption, and divorce modification. He obtained his law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
Jonathan was born in Silver City, New Mexico, and raised in the rural copper mining town of Morenci, Arizona where he discovered his passion for the law by seeing the positive impact a zealous legal advocate can make on their clients’ lives. This led him to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Business Law from Arizona State University. Upon graduation, Mr. Brown remained in Phoenix working for a civil defense firm while continuing to be involved with the university surrounding communities to mentor young Latinx students helping them adjust and graduate.
While in law school, Jonathan discovered an affinity for family law and the help that he could provide to those who need it. Understanding that every family situation is different, he was also trained and certified in classic and family-focused mediation techniques both over Zoom and in person.
As someone who has experience in both small towns and big cities, Jonathan understands first-hand the unique challenges that face New Mexicans from all backgrounds. He is committed to working with each client to find the best process and strategies that will allow him to advocate effectively for a client’s goals and reach their desired outcome.
