Howdy Partner! – Randy W. Powers Jr.

February 5, 2019 by Bobbie Batley

We could not be more excited to announce that Randy W. Powers, Jr. is now a partner at our Firm.  “Partner” is a big word and means different things to different people.  Our founding partners, Jan Gilman-Tepper and Sandra Morgan Little, have exemplified that partnership at our Firm means an alignment of core values with a trusted collaborator.

In many traditional Firms, there is a “partnership track” that generally encompasses factors affecting the business end of a law firm.  While those are important, what we value in a partner is a person who has the highest level of integrity, a strong work ethic, delivers excellent customer service to our clients and their families and possesses a human quality that understands the difficulty of our type of practice.  During the time that Randy has been with our office as an Associate, he has demonstrated these qualities over and over.

Randy handles each case with the utmost care and is continually complimented by attorneys and judges on his professionalism.  He is an incredibly strong advocate for his clients whether they are in court or at the settlement table.  Most importantly, he has that rare quality in a lawyer that is able and willing to tell a client that their expectations may be beyond what a court can deliver and to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a case so that a client is prepared for the eventual outcome of a case.  We do not believe that just telling a client what they want to hear is the ethical way to practice law.  Randy has also chosen to do the hard work of Guardian ad Litem for children whose parents are in a divorce or custody action to make sure their voices are heard.

We have high standards at our Firm.  We want to deliver the best advocacy we can for our clients while keeping their goals at the forefront of our strategy.  Randy has been a valuable Team member since he joined us and we look forward to partnering with him for many years to come!
